Hello! My name is Teya and I am an undergraduate student at Texas Tech University studying music education. I have played the french horn for over 8 years, and have unique experience playing as a soloist and in diverse ensembles alike. I have multiple acheivements for my playing including:

• Consistent top scores in Regional Solo and Ensemble for four years (2016-2020)
• Advancement in TMEA All-State  Competitions in Region 12 for four years (2016-2020)
• Acceptance into the Goin Band marching ensemble (2020-present)
• Being contracted as a hornline member for the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps (2019)
• Advancement into the Texas Tech Symphonic Band (2020-present)
• Earning and maintaining the titles of Principal Horn and Section Leader at Winston Churchill High School, a 6A school in San Antonio, Texas (2018-2020)
• Acceptance into Watchtower Brass, a performing brass quintet (2020-present)

As well as being a horn player, I am also an accomplished pianist and vocalist, having studied both for the past 16 years.

My past musical experiences have enriched me with exposure to and practice of a variety of teaching styles and brass methods that drive consistent performance at a high level. I am a firm believer that if there's intent, there's way for improvement, and I look forward to aiding students through their journey as a musician.

Refund for Lesson Packages

You may cancel a lesson package with at least 24 hours' written notice before the next lesson. Completed lessons will be billed at the standard hourly rate, and the remaining balance will be refunded minus a 5% processing fee. The fee is waived if you keep the balance as credit on your TimeAfterSchool account for other lessons.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

• Standard Policy: Provide at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled start time to cancel or reschedule a lesson free of charge. Cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full lesson fee.
• Grace Period for Packages: For each packages of 10 or more lessons, you are allowed one late cancellation or rescheduling (with less than 24 hours' notice) without penalty to accommodate unexpected situations. Any additional late cancellations or changes beyond this one-time exception will be charged in full.

Adult Supervision

All tutoring sessions for students under 18 years old must be supervised by a responsible adult.
