Every day is a new adventure at Greenwood Trails. Our extensive range of activity options offers campers incredible ways to grow and have fun. As campers take on new challenges and enjoy old favorites, they develop their skills and confidence, all while having the time of their lives.

Our choice-based PROGRAM is built around our four trails – athletics, arts, adventure and aquatics. In addition, we have exclusive Greenwood Trails activities created by our very own counselors. As you’ll see below, the broad range of activity choices offers something for every camper every day!

Athletics Activities: the athletics trail consists of a wide variety of both individual and team sports. Campers improve their skills, learn new ones, and most of all have fun!

Arts Activities: the arts trail consists of creative and performing arts and gives campers the opportunity to express themselves and create their own personal masterpieces.

Adventure Activities: the adventure trail gives campers the opportunity to test their limits, push their boundaries, learn teamwork, overcome obstacles and reach new heights.

Aquatics Activities: splashing around in our heated pool or private lake, a refreshing dip in the water is never far away.

Other Activities: in addition to our extensive selection of “regular” activities, Greenwood Trails campers also have the opportunity to choose activities that defy labels. Counselors, and sometimes campers, create unique games and activities that inspire and delight. The list is endless because more are being created every summer, but here’s a small sampling of some of the interesting activities we’ve had at camp.

Some of our more popular evening activities include:

Campfire Nights: singing songs and discussing camp topics under the stars at our campfire site in the woods. It’s a special summer experience.

Lip Sync Contest: cabins get creative and perform on stage to cheers and laughter.

Saturday Night Dance Party: held in our outdoor covered pavilion with a different theme each session.

Miss Greenwood Trails: each cabin gets to dress up a male counselor for our hysterical beauty pageant.

White House: campers protect their “president” from being attacked by paint throwing “ninjas” all around camp!

Special Events: our summer program also features exciting daytime full camp special events such as Tribal Games, Color War, Olympics and Carnival.

Sunday Funday: every other Sunday, the entire camp participates in Sunday Funday, which is a fun and relaxing team-building day where campers work together as cabins to build or produce something creative.

The theme changes each session – past Sunday Funday examples are “Boat Build” where each cabin built a boat for campers to race across the lake, “Mini-Golf” where each cabin designed a mini-golf course hole, and “Flug Tag” where campers built “flying machines” and produced skits to launch their manned machines into the pool.
