International Chess Academy (ICA) is a privately-owned Chess school established in 1996 with the aim of providing professional chess instruction at all levels. We have locations in Glen Rock and Teaneck, NJ, and in March of 2020 launched a fully functional Online Chess Academy open to kids ages 5 and up.

Our mission is to foster a safe and nurturing environment and vibrant community for children to learn chess, train for competition, develop self-confidence, master decision-making skills and practice good sportsmanship, all while having fun.

History
ICA was founded in 1996 by two women (chess champions), Diana Tulman and Woman Grandmaster, Irina Levitina. 

Other
The ICA chess community is vibrant and active, offering enrichment activities, classes, tournaments, as well as multi-discipline scholastic camps during summer, spring and winter to kids ages 6 - 16. We also cater to elite players by offering Master and Grand Master traiing and camps. ICA is very proud of the positive and lasting effect its chess and math programs have had on a great many wonderful students and families.
