If your child is a budding biologist, aspiring artist, scientist, designer or a future doctor - our camp will be packed with fun, imaginative, invention, discovery, & creativity. Children need sun, fun &, space to explore when school is out! We are excited to welcome children (in grades K-8) to our program which includes project based learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math.
Campers will enjoy air-conditioned rooms, large common areas, as well as spacious outdoor facilities at The Community Well located at The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, in Lawrence, NJ.
Food
For the 2022 camp season parents will provide the lunch and snacks for their children as a Covid 19 precaution.
Health
Our staff members are professionally CPR trained and our director has over 11 years experience.
Our typical summer day consists of before care (for early arrivals) in the morning with icebreakers. During our character development discussions, the children are asked to talk openly about virtues and what they mean to them. Sometimes we have a writing exercise and the children will write down their thoughts on the topic and then share it with the group. After the morning circle, we start our STEAM program and each child will be provided their own science journal. The journals were selected to implement Next Gen Science Standards and can be used by any grade level. Due to the pandemic we are forgoing our usual morning tutoring component and opting to focus more on our hands on, project based curriculum. We believe that our children have had an abundance of screen time and need more opportunities to engage outside when the weather permits. Following Next Gen Science Standards while conducting experiments will assist the children with the summertime transition to the next school year. Reading, writing, math, art and critical thinking are all components of the science standards.
