Chess Beginners
This introductory beginners chess course is designed for players who have limited or no chess experience. By the end of the 14 weeks, players will be armed with sufficient knowledge and skills to confidently play a complete game of chess. They should also be able to employ basic tactics and strategies to win games against opponents of similar skill level without external assistance.

9. Common mating patterns - mate in one, mate in two.
10. Creating checkmates - two rooks.
11. Tactical themes (II)- removing the guard, discovered attack.

13. Simple pawn endings - opposition.

Mr. Park has participated in numerous chess tournaments across Korea, Japan, and the United States. His peak performance was winning the Broome County Championship with a performance of 2275. Since 2021, Mr. Park has been working with students of all levels, from beginners to those aiming to compete in tournaments and improve their chess skills. His passion for teaching stems from his own experience of breaking through the 1800 rating barrier, and he is dedicated to helping students reach and surpass the 2000 level.
Customer satisfaction is our top priority. If you are not satisfied, we offer 100% refund after the 1st trial class. If the withdrawal happens after the 2nd class, refund will be prorated. If the withdrawal happens after the 3rd class or future classes, no cash refund will be made. Instead, you can use the remaining class tuition (prorated) to sign up for other classes or save it as credit for future classes. No refunds for missed classes. We reserve the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment.
