Dr. Jeffrey has spent many years learning the craft of writing from some of the most interesting contemporary writers today. At Yale, he studied writing with some of the greats in poetry, fiction, and critical writing. He won the Wallace Prize in Fiction and received distinction for his thesis essay. He continued to study fiction in tutorials and in Master Workshops with writers such as Pulitzer prize-winning Marilynne Robinson and Bharati Mukherjee.
Dr. Jeffrey completed his undergraduate study from Yale University and his Masters in English literature at Cambridge and a PhD in Comparative Literature.
He teaches his students how to think with imagination and intellectual acumen, focusing on content and style.
Many of his students were selected by the New York Times editors to be finalists or winners and/or received regional or national Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.
