This course aims to teach everyone very basics of programming skills. We will cover the basics of how one constructs a program from a series of simple instructions in Python. The course needs some simplest mathematics. Anyone with moderate computer experience should be able to master the materials in this course. Lecturer, David Pang, works as Senior Data Integration Engineer at a startup company, FreightVerify, located at Ann Arbor, Michigan. David is a software architect and web application developer with extensive experience designing, programming, coding, testing, and developing technical documentation support. David is also an expert on relational database design, web applications with emerging technologies, as well as front and end networked Android mobile app development. Prior to FreightVerify, David severed as Senior Full-Stack Java Developer at ArborMetrix from 2016 to 2019, Senior Web Application Developer at CHCR of University of Michigan. During the time at CHCR from May 2011 to July 2016, he developed and deployed multiple websites.
Justin Zhao is a computer science major currently enrolled at Purdue University. He has studied Java for 4 years and has experience tutoring both SAT prep and English. Previously, he has collaborated with two other students on a machine learning algorithm optimizing cloud computer spending, with their paper published in the Journal of Student Research on August 31, 2022.
Dalbert Sun is currently a student studying Computer Science at a well-accredited university. He has considerable experience in various programming languages, including C++, Java, and Python. He is currently a research assistant at the university, developing a digital twin model to improve the cybersecurity of commercial aircraft. In addition, he has authored a scientific paper on his research and presented it at the AIAA SciTech Conference.
