About Linda L.
An Experienced, Professional Educator
I graduated Rider University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I started my teaching career in a private school in New Jersey teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten students. I then moved to New York State and continued tutoring students in reading and writing skills.
I found my passion when I started working with special needs students in my district. This passion came from my own son who is on the autistic spectrum. I realized what kind of struggles he has and have worked tirelessly to help him.
I have helped many students gain the confidence to achieve to the best of their ability while becoming independent learners.
My services stand out for several reasons:
1. Since I am working with the same students every time, I get to know their challenges and their strengths. I get to know them as individuals.
2. I have extensive experience with special needs students, particularly students on the autistic spectrum and ADHD.
3. I have passed the Florida Teacher certification ESE test which enables me to teach special education students. Recently, I completed my TESOL 120 hour course which allows me to teach English to students that speak other languages.
I enjoy working with each individual student at their pace because I see much more progress than I would in a classroom setting. I get to know my students as people. I learn about their likes and dislikes and the students also get to know me.
