My courses typically combine conversation with grammar in order for the student to achieve oral proficiency in the language. I also introduce special learning materials that interface with textbook exercises in an effort to stimulate student interest and provide native-quality insight into the culture and current trends of the language.

Instruction is usually private, one-on-one. However, if you have a small group I can also accommodate your needs. Group instruction is limited to 3 persons. Please contact me for special group rates. I also provide translation services, French to English or English to French.

I am a French-American bi-lingual instructor and have been teaching French ever since I was a student at the University of Wisconsin. Children whose parents wanted them to learn French would come to my house and sit around the dining room table. I remember how much fun we had. Today, my students are still having fun while learning this difficult language.

Since the success of each student depends largely on the instructor, my classes focus on individual needs and learning capabilities in a relaxed and nurturing environment. My approach is unique in that it incorporates elements of French culture -- such as popular songs -- and you will learn French as it is actually spoken in Paris.

Refund for Lesson Packages

You may cancel a lesson package with at least 24 hours' written notice before the next lesson. Completed lessons will be billed at the standard hourly rate, and the remaining balance will be refunded minus a 5% processing fee. The fee is waived if you keep the balance as credit on your TimeAfterSchool account for other lessons.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

• Standard Policy: Provide at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled start time to cancel or reschedule a lesson free of charge. Cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full lesson fee.
• Grace Period for Packages: For each packages of 10 or more lessons, you are allowed one late cancellation or rescheduling (with less than 24 hours' notice) without penalty to accommodate unexpected situations. Any additional late cancellations or changes beyond this one-time exception will be charged in full.

Adult Supervision

All tutoring sessions for students under 18 years old must be supervised by a responsible adult.
