2. Private Piano Lessons
Lessons are tailored to student's unique learning needs, and repertoire remains flexible so that student is able to learn music which interests him/her. The teacher will ensure the student makes fast and steady progress for all skill levels.
My name is Alexandra. I have taught piano with Merry Melody Music Academy for 11 years and have been teaching remotely using Zoom, FaceTime, Skype for the last 2+ years.
I am a very experienced teacher, with students of all ages, all levels and abilities. Many of my students are taking piano Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams. I am also familiar with the ABRSM syllabus. I currently tutor 2 students who are taking AP theory in high school. I have also been an ear training teaching assistant at Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
I have a Master in Voice performance and a post graduate diploma in Music Education from Boston Conservatory at Berklee, an undergraduate degree in Voice, minoring in piano, from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and a Diploma in piano (ABRSM)
I strive to bring out the best in students through patience and gentle guidance, focusing on musicality and technique. I meet where the students are and help them achieve their goals while improving their skills in a systematic and progressive way. I am a firm believer in not only teaching students fundamental musical skills but also how to practice! Practicing effectively and efficiently is just as important as learning how to read notes and rhythms. I always provide students with practice strategies and excercises so as to be efficient with their time and to get proper technique into muscle memory. And most importantly to have fun and enjoyment from learning their instrument, while creating an environment where they can feel a sense of achievement. This will be a life long skill they can enjoy for years to come.
