Lana’s academic training spans the humanities, social sciences, math, and science. Lana graduated with a Masters of Science in Energy and Resources from the University of California at Berkeley, where she also completed PhD coursework in history. Lana graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland, College Park, with bachelor's degrees in history and economics, and a concentration in mathematics.
She has a teaching credential in Social Science and English Literature for grades 6 through 12.
Lana has extensive experience with students of all ages and learning styles, and she tutors a wide range of subject areas. Additionally, Lana has worked as a classroom teacher of history and English for middle and high schools.
With two decades of teaching and tutoring experience, Lana has developed a range of pedagogical approaches that she applies to address the needs of each student. In particular, she has developed a compassionate and supportive approach for students with learning differences. Lana is passionate about learning and teaching, and loves to pass on her enthusiasm to her students.

You may cancel a lesson package with at least 24 hours' written notice before the next lesson. Completed lessons will be billed at the standard hourly rate, and the remaining balance will be refunded minus a 5% processing fee.
