Tutroing Subjects
Hello! My name is Christopher, and I would love to help any family in need of a tutor. I am currently studying for an MA in philosophy and homeschooling my 7th-grade younger sister.
My experience in education has been in both a private school and a tutoring center. I have continued in the world of education because I truly enjoy interacting with children and helping them learn. In my opinion, helping students realize that they have the capacity to accomplish the task is the real goal of a teacher. This is why I do not try to merely "finish the worksheet" with students but rather lift them to a point where they feel comfortable explaining the concepts back to me. This may take longer for some than others but is well worth it to see the student smile contentedly with their own abilities.
I am comfortable tutoring for general homework help or even basic organizational skills, which are crucial for productive study. For English, Math, and general homework help, I offer tutoring for grades 3-8. For Spanish tutoring, whether it's grammar review, writing, or conversation, I offer classes for grades 3-12. I studied in Spain for nearly 10 years and obtained my BA from a Spanish college, so please feel free to practice any kind of Spanish with me.
