Hi, my name is Emma!

I absolutely love to learn and am a huge history nerd. My favorite time period to learn about is World War 2. In Spring 2023, I achieved my Masters in Teaching from Northeastern  University (specializing in History of course!).  My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, complemented by minors in Spanish Language and Culture, as well as North Africa and the Middle East studies.

Teaching is not just a profession for me; it's a calling. With over seven years of experience as a private tutor and a background in K-8 classrooms since my undergraduate years, I've honed my skills. My commitment extends to working with diverse learners, including ESL and neurodivergent students. As someone who grapples with dyslexia, I prioritize making learning both accessible and enjoyable, all while achieving academic objectives.

Outside of the classroom, you can find me deep-diving on my latest historical obsession, working out, or trying out new restaurants with my friends. I look forward to getting to know you better!

Refund for Lesson Packages

You may cancel a lesson package with at least 24 hours' written notice before the next lesson. Completed lessons will be billed at the standard hourly rate, and the remaining balance will be refunded minus a 5% processing fee. The fee is waived if you keep the balance as credit on your TimeAfterSchool account for other lessons.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

• Standard Policy: Provide at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled start time to cancel or reschedule a lesson free of charge. Cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full lesson fee.
• Grace Period for Packages: For each packages of 10 or more lessons, you are allowed one late cancellation or rescheduling (with less than 24 hours' notice) without penalty to accommodate unexpected situations. Any additional late cancellations or changes beyond this one-time exception will be charged in full.

Adult Supervision

All tutoring sessions for students under 18 years old must be supervised by a responsible adult.
