High School French

A lively, novice level French course that balances communication, culture, and confidence. Using Comprehensible Input strategies, students learn to speak, understand, read, and write about everyday topics—greetings, school life, family, food, city life, and daily routines—while exploring francophone cultures. By term’s end, learners can hold a basic conversation and present a short project entirely in French.

Intermediate Latin

We provide world languages to our students. These languages include: Arabic, French, Japanese, Latin, German, Spanish etc. If you want us to offer any language, please let us know.

In this 14 week course, students will continue to develop the building blocks of Latin sentence structure and Roman Civilization. In the Cambridge Latin text we will read stages 9-12 which teaches about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius and its impacts on Western Civilization. Cambridge Latin uses the reading method of teaching Latin, wherein students read the vocabulary and acquire grammatical skills through experiential learning, followed by direct grammatical instruction. Our class utilizes digital learning tools such as PearDeck, Quizizz, the Google Education suite, Kahoot, Gimkit, and Blooket.

Spanish Beginner 0

Grammar instruction will focus on present tense verb conjugations, basic sentence structure, gender and number agreement, and common adjectives. By the end of the semester, students will be able to hold short conversations, ask and answer simple questions, and express basic needs and preferences. Interactive activities, cultural explorations, and group practice will enhance comprehension and language retention.

Spanish Beginner Level 1

This course is tailored for students who have completed Level 0 or have equivalent foundational knowledge of Spanish. Over 17 weeks, students will advance their conversational skills and expand their vocabulary to include topics like family and relationships, hobbies, weather and seasons, and basic shopping. Grammar instruction will cover the use of the past tense (preterit), direct and indirect object pronouns, and an introduction to reflexive verbs. The course will integrate cultural contexts to enrich the learning experience and highlight the diversity of Spanish-speaking countries. By the end of the semester, students will be able to engage in more detailed conversations, describe past events, and express opinions with basic supporting details. Classroom activities will include role-playing, guided discussions, and interactive language exercises.
