Guillermo
I am a Bolivian-American, born and raised in the United States, but I have lived in Santiago, Chile and Cochabamba, Bolivia. I have been travelling to Latin America my whole life and my interest in the region led me to earn a Bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies with a minor in History from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1998. After extensive travel to Mexico, Panama, Argentina, Chile and Bolivia throughout the years, I earned a Masters degree in History (with emphasis on U.S. and Latin American History) from Missouri State University in 2016.
I earned my Tutorial Certificate in 1990 from the College Reading and Learning Association and have been tutoring Spanish for over 30 years. I have taught children and adults the Spanish language throughout the years and have worked with students from very diverse backgrounds. I believe in including every student in my classes/lessons and incorporating group discussions to further their comprehension and speaking ability is crucial. I have always believed that great teachers come from great students!
