I am a passionate Spanish teacher/tutor for learners of all levels, from Spanish 1 through AP Spanish and college courses. With 25+ years’ of classroom teaching experience and four years of online teaching/tutoring experience, I bring a wealth of expertise to my students.
 

I teach Spanish to middle schoolers through adults using a personally developed curriculum. For students already enrolled in Spanish, I offer tutoring lessons tailored to support your unique needs. As a veteran teacher/tutor, I have an in-depth knowledge of Spanish curricula from middle school through college, and
I possess a vast collection of textbooks, workbooks, and digital resources to support your learning journey. My goal is to help you develop strong speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, with a solid grasp of grammar, especially verb conjugations, guiding you towards fluency.
 

I fell in love with the Spanish language in high school and pursued my passion further. As a native English speaker who learned Spanish, I understand the unique challenges of language acquisition and can teach from the learner’s perspective. My fluency in Spanish comes from years of study, living and
studying in Mexico for two years, and daily engagement in Spanish with family and friends. My husband and I have raised two bilingual children, and I bring all this personal experience into my teaching.
 

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish, a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Spanish, and a CLAD (English as a Second Language Development) Certificate. My teaching approach is enriched by training in Kagan Cooperative Learning, promoting active student involvement and effective language
acquisition.

Refund for Lesson Packages

You may cancel a lesson package with at least 24 hours' written notice before the next lesson. Completed lessons will be billed at the standard hourly rate, and the remaining balance will be refunded minus a 5% processing fee. The fee is waived if you keep the balance as credit on your TimeAfterSchool account for other lessons.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

• Standard Policy: Provide at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled start time to cancel or reschedule a lesson free of charge. Cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full lesson fee.
• Grace Period for Packages: For each packages of 10 or more lessons, you are allowed one late cancellation or rescheduling (with less than 24 hours' notice) without penalty to accommodate unexpected situations. Any additional late cancellations or changes beyond this one-time exception will be charged in full.

Adult Supervision

All tutoring sessions for students under 18 years old must be supervised by a responsible adult.
