Powers of Persuasion: A Writing and Reading Class
Unlock the art of argumentation in this engaging course for students in grades 5-8! Through a diverse selection of editorials, essays, and Op-Ed pieces from past and present, students will analyze what makes arguments effective and how societal perspectives have evolved over time.

Essay Writing: Structure arguments, support ideas with evidence, and write with clarity and confidence.
Debate Practice: Strengthen public speaking and quick-thinking skills while presenting ideas and engaging with opposing views.
Infographic Creation: Communicate arguments visually through engaging and informative graphics.
Vocabulary and Grammar: Expand their word power and sharpen writing accuracy with targeted practice.
Proofreading Techniques: Learn strategies to revise and polish their work for precision and impact.
By the end of the course, students will be able to craft compelling arguments, think critically about information, and communicate effectively in both written and spoken forms. With these skills, they will be ready to excel academically and approach real-world challenges with confidence and poise.
