Hi! my name is David.
I hold a Ph.D. in Comparative History from Brandeis University and I love to talk about History with students—and anyone else who will listen to me! I am also a Literature, Reading, and Writing specialist. I have written three well-received books on military history and I am hard at work on a fourth. I can help any student to write better.
I taught History for six years as an Adjunct Professor at Boston-area colleges and universities, including Boston College, the University of Massachusetts/Boston, and Fitchburg State University. In addition to teaching my classes, I worked closely one-on-one with those students who were experiencing difficulty with writing and/or research.
In addition to my work as a historian, I have five years of experience editing and fact-checking Reading/ELA textbooks. My editorial experience has given me expertise in Phonics and reading disabilities, respectively.
