1. AP Calculus AB and BC
Introduction to Calculus I and II, which covers all topics in AP Calculus AB and BC, including limits & continuity, differentiation, integration, and parameterization.

Requirements
This course is designed for students who have already established a foundation in Algebra II and Precalculus. It is highly recommended that students must have successfully completed the equivalent of these classes already.

Learning Outcomes
The purpose of this course is to give students a solid conceptual understanding of single variable calculus. Students will be able to solve problems commonly seen in high school AP or honors
level calculus courses.

Course Materials
Calculus Early Transcendentals, 6e. James Stewart.
The goal is to aid you in as many ways as possible. A link to the textbook will be provided on the first day of class, but a print copy is recommended if the class is to be taken again for credit in high school or college. Other course materials, including notes, homework, and online videos will be provided throughout the class.

The typical class structure will cover material at a pace flexible to students, which include:

  • Interactive lectures
  • In class examples and discussion
  • Mock quizzes and exams
  • Practice problem homework sets

Course Communication
I will be communicating with students and parents regarding progress in the class.  If you are having trouble with this course or
its material, please contact me to discuss any issues. I am flexible to change classes to fit the students' needs, or provide any extra resources to help guide you.

Course Assignments
Asynchronous work is composed of homework problem sets. These assignments are for completion only, unless otherwise requested to be graded. Although they are technically optional, I would highly recommend working through them as it would prepare you better for any future calculus courses you may take!
Mock unit exams will be given throughout the prep course. These are again, just for practice and feedback will be given if requested. They will be open notes, but nothing else may be used.

2. Multivariable Calculus
Introduction to basic multivariable calculus. Topics include equations of planes and surfaces, partial derivative applications, double and triple integrals, and vector calculus.

Requirements
This course is designed for students who have already established a strong foundation in calculus. It is highly recommended that students must have successfully completed Calculus I and II equivalent courses. AP Calculus AB or BC would meet this requirement.

Learning Outcomes
The purpose of this course is to give students a fair conceptual understanding of multivariable calculus. Students will be able to solve problems commonly seen in high school dual enrollment
or college level courses.
