Mr. Clint earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California San Diego and an M.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Stanford University.
His academic background is complemented by hands-on professional experience in some of today’s most innovative industries, which he is genuinely passionate about—pushing the boundaries of space exploration at SpaceX and Lockheed Martin Space, and advancing breakthrough fusion energy technologies at Zap Energy and Commonwealth Fusion Systems.
At Stanford, he also conducted research in advanced materials laboratories, including 3D-printed biomaterials for heart printing and extreme materials for space applications. This combination of research and industry experience allows him to show students how classroom concepts translate directly into real-world impact.
But what truly sets Clint apart is how he teaches.
Rather than focusing on memorization, he builds deep conceptual understanding so students truly grasp the "why" behind the material—not just how to repeat steps. His approach develops confident, independent thinkers capable of tackling new problems on their own. Students who once struggled with low grades have gone on to earn A’s—and, more importantly, have transformed frustration into confidence and genuine enthusiasm for subjects they once thought they “just weren’t good at.”
With over seven years of combined tutoring experience in math, Spanish, and guitar, Clint understands that every student learns differently. He adapts lessons to visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learning styles and connects material to each student’s unique interests—whether that’s athletics, music, art, languages, coding, entrepreneurship, science, storytelling, or anything else that sparks their curiosity. When students see how learning connects to their own goals and passions, motivation becomes internal—reducing the need for external reminders to study—and success follows naturally.
He also served for over two years as a course assistant in engineering at Stanford, leading hands-on labs, teaching core material, mentoring students one-on-one, and helping them master challenging concepts with clarity and confidence.
Having traveled to over 30 countries across six continents, Clint brings cultural awareness, adaptability, and genuine enthusiasm to working with students from diverse backgrounds. His international experience has also provided him with deep Spanish language immersion in 10 Spanish-speaking countries.
Above all, Clint believes that intelligence isn’t fixed — it’s built. With the right guidance, clarity, and encouragement, any student can excel.
If you’re looking for a tutor who combines excellent academic training, real-world innovation experience, and a proven ability to turn confusion into confidence, book a lesson with Clint today — and start building mastery that lasts.
