English Language Arts
With a Doctorate in Education focused on adolescent English language acquisition, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, and a Structured English Immersion endorsement, I bring extensive experience supporting students across diverse K–12 learning environments.
Throughout my career as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, curriculum specialist, and professional learning facilitator, I have helped students strengthen their reading, writing, and language skills through effective, research-based instruction. I also have experience designing PreK–6 curriculum and supporting teachers in creating lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
I am passionate about helping students build strong literacy foundations, grow in confidence, and achieve meaningful academic progress through clear instruction, encouragement, and consistent practice.
My tutoring style is conversational, Socratic, and student-led. I ask the questions that help students think critically and discover answers for themselves, within a structured framework that builds confidence and real understanding. I create personalized learning plans, connect concepts to real-world contexts, and bring patience and genuine encouragement to every session. I am happy to collaborate with students’ other teachers to promote success. With a Doctorate in Education and decades of experience helping learners thrive, I am not just a tutor, I am a dedicated partner in your child's growth.
