Our program takes a comprehensive approach to helping students become accomplished writers. We leverage the Google Classroom platform for seamless communication via Google Meet, offering real-time feedback, comments, and edits. Students attend the Writing Studio at least once a week, working with experienced language arts tutors on various writing and language arts assignments. Many of our students remain with us for years, as we accommodate all of their ELA needs through to college. Every student who participates in our program experiences meaningful, transformative growth in their writing skills.
1st - 6th - Vocabulary, grammar & punctuation, writing, reading
7th - 8th - advanced reading, comprehension/grammar & high school prep.
High School - college prep, SAT, ACT, high school curriculum support, common app support
The Writing Studio has been in operation since 2010. We have a proven record of success. We help students develop writing fluency, confidence , and competence. Students have come to love writing, and as a result, they have excelled in their English/Language Arts (ELA) Classes, as well as ELA exams.

The mission of the City Kidz World literary magazine and Creative Writing Studio (CKW Studio) is to help students develop a love of reading, writing, and vocabulary, using multiple methods of language arts enrichment and tutoring.
