A New & Unique Place to Discover Music in the Princeton, NJ Area

Stibol Music is creative development center for emerging musicians who want to develop their talents, collaborate with their creative peers and heighten their musical enjoyment! We welcome musicians of all interests and and skill levels into our 3000 square foot space in Princeton Junction. We aim to give students the tools for long term growth and musical interest by balancing the fundamentals with the fun stuff, like learning their favorite songs, collaborating with their peers and performing. Our goal is to enrich our local community by providing a new and exciting atmosphere for musical exploration and showcasing our students talents in local performances.

CHRIS STIBOL

Drums/Piano Instructor
Chris has been drumming for the past 27 years and has a degree in music. Performing since the age of 10, he has trained in many different styles of percussion and is proficient on the drum set, marching drums, bells, and piano. Chris has been teaching for the past 14 years, his students ranging from 5 to 70. Many of them have gone on to do great things with their talents, including becoming members of the Youth Orchestra of Central Jersey, reaching the Studio Band at Princeton Highschool, and becoming members of percussion lines at the college level. Chris approaches lessons with a fun attitude, ensuring students learn the core fundamentals while they grow in their own artistic abilities.

JEREMY

Guitar/Piano Instructor
Jeremy has been playing guitar for the past 19 years and has been performing in bands for the past 14 years. He frequently plays throughout New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia. Jeremy is a very dedicated teacher who brings his real world experience to his lesson approach. He ensures students understand the songwriting process by breaking down the song structure. By doing this and actively engaging students the “ins and outs” of a song, he gives them the tools to start writing songs of their own.

VINNIE

Guitar/Bass/Piano Instructor

Vinnie has over 20 years experience playing professionally in bands throughout the Princeton, Philadelphia, and New York City region and is a student of jazz and classical performance. His approach puts a strong emphasis on fundamentals and music theory but also encourages students to be creative and uses examples of modern music to put those fundamentals to use.

JOSEPH

Woodwind/Vocal/Piano Instructor
Joseph has been teaching woodwind instruments for the past 14 years. He has earned a B.A. of music from Kean University. Joe has played in many ensembles including, NJMEA Intercollegiate Wind Ensemble, Kean University Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and Kean University Concert Choir and Orchestra. Joe keeps his students engaged and motivated by learning and dissecting popular songs, and making scale learning a fun competition/game.

MARK

Piano Instructor
Mark has been playing piano since the age of 9.  Throughout college, Mark was involved in several ensembles including Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Chamber Music.  He has also provided musical accompaniment with the Kean Theatre Department.  In 2017, Mark graduated from Kean University with a B.M. in Music Performance degree.  Mark's favorite artists include ABBA, Billy Joel, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, and R.E.M.  He also loves to play music from Broadway musicals and Nintendo video games.  Mark uses a hybrid of classical and contemporary in his lessons to ensure students that they learn the core fundamentals of music in a fun and festive atmosphere.

DAVID

Drum Instructor
David has been an instructor at Stibol Music since 2016. He started playing the drums when he was eight and has been playing music professionally since 2013. During this time, he has supported several notable artists including Laurin Talese, Chill Moody, Taylor Kelly, and Hambone Relay and has studied with internationally renowned drummers JP Bouvet and Benny Greb. His background ranges from Concert and Marching percussion to Rock, Funk, Jazz, and RnB. Currently, David plays with an 8 piece funk band (The Do Rights), a 4 piece indie garage rock band (Young Puzzle), and plays cajon for up-and-coming country artist Madeline Smith. In lessons, he puts an emphasis on using the drums as a vehicle for creativity and expression. He encourages students to step beyond "what" they are playing and examine when, where, why, and how they play it.

ELLENRENEE

EllenRenee has been in the Performing arts industry since age 6. Started under Julliard trained professional. Sang and performed Professionally for many years in: Italian Operas, Classical & Standards Vocalist, New Jersey and New York (Radio City) stages, lead singer in 2 bands (Rock 'Midnight Rain' band & Wedding 'Touch of Class'), Atlantic City, elite restaurants, JBundy Master Illusionist Assistant, Singing recording Artist managed by Bill Deal, opened for Charlie Daniels band and L Jackson. Teaches & trains Novice through Professional levels: All genres of Music. Classical, Rock, Punk, Broadway. Former Director of 450 student Academy of Performing Arts over 10 years. She trained and placed many Artists in Lead Roles such as 'Cats' and 'Phantom of the Opera' ON Broadway, top billing Artist performances on the  'Main Stage at Walt Disney World Florida', placed Rock Bands on many stage performances & venues, teamed with Sony Records professionals, her students were in commercials, print & appearances on major channels and she worked with Original Musical Artists that hit top charts. Teaches Singing, coaches vocalists, manages bands & musical artists.  
Long standing Member of National Association of Teachers of Singing. 
Is an agent through American Federation of Booking Agents of United States and Canada. Performer, Vocalist, Dancer, Choreographer, Educator. Mantra is strive for excellence in voice, stage performance & life.

 

Mitchell

Vocal Instructor 

Mitchell found his passion for voice teaching while serving as Director of Show Choirs and Musicals at a private school in the Southeast. Since teaching voice, Mitchell has been glad to serve as a judge for various talent shows and competitions. Studying graduate level Voice Pedagogy at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, Mitchell enjoys helping guide singers to their best form of individual artistry in the healthiest way possible. When he's not working with singers in the studio, you can find Mitchell at the dog park or traveling somewhere new.

MICHAEL

Guitar/Bass/Drums/Piano Instructor
New Jersey native, Michael has been thoroughly involved in music for more than two decades. His experience studying with influential teachers and playing in ensembles has shaped his approach to music. Michael looks to share his passion and experience with students. While playing and teaching various instruments, his goal is to spark a fire of excitement that can lead to a lifetime of expression and exploration through music.

ARI

Strings/Piano Instructor
Ari is a cellist by trade and enjoys playing all of the instruments she teaches in her free time. Although she is primarily a classical musician, she performs jazz, rock, and pop music regularly around central and north New Jersey. She is also a member of the Summit Symphony Orchestra, and the teaching assistant to the Kean University Chamber Music Ensemble. She is currently completing a Music Education P-12 degree with Teacher Certification at Kean University.

SHARON

Piano/Woodwind/Vocal/Brass/Percussion/String Instructor
Sharon studied music at the New England Conservatory of Music and received her Degree in Theater and her Degree in Television and Radio Production at Mercer County Community College. Sharon has experience as a private instructor at the Summer Arts Institute at Rutgers University, Mercer County Community College, Newark Community School of the Arts, Lawrenceville Preparatory School, Pennington Preparatory School, St. Paul the Apostle Church/School, Emmanuel Midtown Music Studios in NYC, New Jersey Youth Symphony, Music School of East Brunswick, Mobile Music Instructors, Freehold Music Studio, Sweet Music Academy, Farrington's Music Studio, Music Tech Academy, Music $ Arts, and the Very Special Arts of New Jersey at the East Brunswick Chapter.

 

Will

Guitar/Bass Instructor

Will has been playing guitar/bass for the last 19 years starting with guitar magazine and book tablature to learn rock songs to taking lessons himself to playing in the jazz workshop program in high school. During the last decade he has performed live, playing bass with a local Trenton thrash metal outfit which had afforded him the opportunity to open up for various rock and metal bands ( Protest the Hero / D.R.I / Swashbuckle and various others) as well as experience playing multiple small and large venues in the tri-state area. It is Will’s goal to not only teach you theory/ song structure/ lead ideas but to ensure you or your child is enjoying lessons and keeping interest in the instrument no matter what musical taste you may possess. It is Will’s belief that learning an instrument whether for fun or for a career is an extremely rewarding process and will carry over into other life endeavors giving you the confidence to feel you are capable of achieving anything you put your mind to.
