The Summer at Nawakwa…
Every week at Nawakwa begins and ends with worship at one of our beautiful outdoor worship areas; Upper Temple, Fischer Chapel or Bishop Chapel. Community living takes place everyday through Bible Study, worship, recreation, crafts, and nature study. Our caring staff is here to guide children as they explore God’s creation and their relationship in it. Campers are given the opportunity to choose how part of their week will go. Being part of a Lutheran Christian community has helped many campers grow – in their personal faith, in their self-confidence, and in their interactions with others.
All Children are welcome to attend Camp Nawakwa, regardless of race, creed, religion or color.
Children with special needs can participate in many of our programs. Camp staff need to know the nature of the child’s special needs before arrival in camp. Please contact the camp of your choice for further information.
All camp programs include games, swimming, campfires, Bible study, crafts, songs, Christ-centered worship, nature activities, and well-trained counselors who care.
Camp Week: Each camp week begins Sunday with check-in between the hours of 3:00 and 4:30pm. Parents may pick up their children on Saturday morning between 9:00 and 9:30am.
Age Group: Explorers (completed grades K – 2),
