Kirchenwald is located on 340 acres of undeveloped timberland, adjacent to 4,000 acres of State Game Lands, in Colebrook, PA. The camp averages over 400 campers a summer, focusing on adventure trip camps and growth through challenge. Campers travel to the Adirondack Mountains, the beaches of Assateague Island, Maryland or enjoy the climbing tower, climbing wall, ropes course, lake, and sports activities at the camp.

All Children are welcome to attend Camps Kirchenwald regardless of race, creed, religion or color.

Children with special needs can participate in many of our programs. Camp staff need to know the nature of the child’s special needs before arrival in camp. Please contact the camp of your choice for further information.

Camp Week: Each camp week begins Sunday with check-in between the hours of 3:00 and 4:30pm. Early check-in is not possible. Parents may pick up their children on Saturday morning between 9:00 and 9:30am.

 Settle into Fort Kirchenwald for a week of advanced camp crafts. Pottery, ax throwing, furniture making, and metal working at a real forge!

Beach Camp at Kirchenwald

Camp in tents on the dunes of Assateague Island. Ocean swimming, surf, clamming, and crabbing, and an evening on the boardwalk make this a beach lover's dream.

Intermediates High Adventure at Kirchenwald

Safety and learning are paramount as you challenge yourself on our high ropes course, tower, and zip line. Caving and a day at Chickie's Rock round out this excellent program.

Intermediates Kayak at Kirchenwald 

Dive into the world of whitewater kayaking. Practice paddle strokes, rolls, and river running through games and trips to local waterways. Surf's up!

Intermediates Ten-Day at Kirchenwald 

Too much fun to be contained in a single week. All the Kirchenwald favorites plus a river trip, caving, overnight backpacking, and special weekend activities. Worship at a local church on Sunday.

Intermediates Trails & Treats at Kirchenwald

Get in gear as you ride some of the best single track and rail trail biking routes in the area. Then pedal on to a new ice cream shop each day to cool off.

Intermediates Ultimate Sports at Kirchenwald

 Play hard in this action packed-week of team sports. Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Speedball, and Tchoukball are all options. Plus, play in the prestigious Kirchenwald Cup soccer match.
