Matthew is a Music Education student at the Texas Tech School of Music in Lubbock, Texas. Matthew has been playing the Trombone since the 5th grade and has been growing in his love for the instrument ever since. Throughout his time in high school, he was a 4 time competitor in the Texas University Interscholastic League (UIL) State Solo and Ensemble contest and was a constant guest trombonist in the Trinity University Jazz Band. Additionally, he was a 3 time participant in the TMEA Region 12 Band, participant in the Region 12 Jazz Band, and was a featured musician in multiple marching band shows. Matthew has written and arranged multiple pieces for chamber, band, and orchestra ensembles and is an experienced conductor. During his time in high school, he was also a leader in his high school band as a Trombone Section Leader, Brass Captain, and Band Council Vice President. Now in college, Matthew is the recipient of scholarships from the TTU Trombone Studio, Jazz Studio, and Marching Band, as well as academic scholarships. He currently plays in the top Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble, a brass quintet, the top Trombone Choir, and the marching band. Matthew loves music and his passion is to help young trombonists learn and grow in their craft through guided practice, fundamentals, techniques, and music theory!

Refund for Lesson Packages
You may cancel a lesson package with at least 24 hours' written notice before the next lesson. Completed lessons will be billed at the standard hourly rate, and the remaining balance will be refunded minus a 5% processing fee. The fee is waived if you keep the balance as credit on your TimeAfterSchool account for other lessons.
